Massachusetts Maritime Academy names Boatstobuy web portal provider

by Bill Pankracij on 20 Jan 2011
'.'
Boatstobuy.com, a dynamic online portal dedicated to helping boaters sell their craft quickly and efficiently, and Massachusetts Maritime Academy, the oldest continuously operating maritime academy in the United States, have entered into a preferred provider agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s department of yacht and boat donations will utilize boatstobuy.com to list appropriate maritime donations and inventories.

In addition to supporting the efforts of its competitive sailing teams, the proceeds from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy yacht and boat donation program have financed numerous campus projects including The Storer Building renovation, the Herring Pond restoration, and the Varsity Crew Pavilion, to name just a few.

'The ability to accurately and securely update and access inventory listings, internally and externally, has become increasingly critical to the continued success of our yacht and boat donation program, not only in terms of our competitive sailing teams but also to the college as a whole,' said Richard 'Chuck' Fontaine, Massachusetts Maritime Academy’s director of yacht & boat donations and sailing program director. 'The easy-to-use boatstobuy.com portal solution will provide us with this much-needed capability, thereby increasing the reach and productivity of our major gift efforts. We are delighted to have boatstobuy.com as a preferred supplier.'

'The Academy’s decision to deploy the boatstobuy.com solution is a powerful testament to the growing market acceptance we are enjoying nationwide,' said William Jones, vice president of marketing at boatstobuy.com. 'The confidence they have expressed in our capabilities is strong validation of our products and our unique business model.'
