Key West Race Week - Will PBO Rigging win Big Booty at Key West?

by Emma White, Lewmar on 18 Jan 2011
SW
Key West Race Week - Following the recent announcement that the IRC are changing the rules relating to fibre rigging in 2011, Navtec have teamed up with Pat Eudy’s Lutra 42 programme and have completely re-rigged Big Booty with Navtec Z-System PBO rigging in time for Key West Race Week.

The Navtec Team will work closely with Big Booty’s crew to assess the potential performance advantage throughout the week. The total weight saving of over 31kg should make for some close racing!

Tuesday 18th January will be Lewmar/Navtec Day at Key West. Successful competitors will receive Lewmar prizes, including the latest, state-of-the-art backstay for the top Melges 32. Anyone who is not totally worn out by the day’s racing can try their hand at the Lewmar Winch Grinding competition at the Lewmar/Navtec stand on Tuesday evening.

The Lewmar and Navtec Team will be on hand throughout the week to provide technical support. The Lewmar/Navtec Stand features the latest products, including the Lewmar EVO Winch Range, the new HTX Block Range, and Navtec hydraulic controls including the new System X Control Panel. Come and meet the Team, who will be there waiting to give technical advice and product demonstrations.

For more information about the Ranges, click on www.lewmar.com and www.navtec.net.
