Yacht and Boat Korea has changed the dates of its event to 4-8 May 2011, adding one more day to the program and beefing up the offering for industry with conference, speakers and networking opportunities.

Barry Jenkins, who is International Marketing Consultant to the event, said 'planning is well underway' for this year's Yacht and Boat Korea, which will be held in a new location of Jinhae, just outside Changwon.

'It's more accessible for exhibitors, closer to the industrial city of Changwon and Busan, which will cut down on travel time.'

Organisers are anticipating around 200 domestic and international exhibitors, and well over 200,000 visitors to the 5-day show.

'This year it will have a strong business focus,' added Jenkins. 'It's a boat show, festival and industry event. We realise we're in the establishment phase of the industry in Korea, but the potential is there and the commitment. We had healthy interest at METS, which was a good sign. People are interested in the recreational boating future of the region.'

This year, there will also be an added on-water component for visitors to get hands-on experience for themselves.

Yacht and Boat Korea is still accepting interest from exhibitors.

Pivot on this
I despise the way ‘pivot' got used as many times as those wretched QR codes... Yes indeed. As much as I would hate to take people back to the COVID era, that's exactly what I've just done. Making that problematic trip back in time look good, is how much I despise the way ‘pivot' got used as many times as those wretched QR codes.
