Melbourne International Boat & Lifestyle Festival - Syndicated yacht ownership pioneer Yachtshare Victoria will market two new boats during the festival in February.

Yachtshare CEO Barry Pares said the company has completed plans to launch a luxury Seawind 1250 catamaran and a Hanse 400 cruiser-racer on Port Phillip Bay in late 2011.

Both boats will be available for inspection during the Festival.

Mr Pares said the boats will be fully serviced, fully maintained and fully managed on behalf of owners.

'We are offering 10 shares in each boat,' he said. 'These boats will offer the ultimate in cruising luxury with premium walk-on walk-off services.

'All our boats include everything you need for pleasure cruising – linen, towels, galley utensils, crockery and cutlery for up to eight people; even a hair dryer!'

The Seawind 1250 catamaran will be based at Docklands for the Victorian summer and relocated to the Gippsland Lakes during winter.

The Hanse will be based on Port Phillip Bay, offering owners the opportunity to compete in a full season of racing as well as family cruising.

'These beautiful vessels will have every option imaginable,' said Pares.

'We will offer owners of the beautiful Seawind catamaran the chance to join the coastal transition trips to and from the lakes at the end of each season.'

Yachtshare owners retain equity in their vessels which means that they share the proceeds when their boat is sold after a three-year ownership period.

Owners are assured of equitable use of their boat through an online calendar. They nominate the day or days they wish to use their boat by simply ticking the days on their calendar. Special dates such as public holidays are shared equally between owners over the three-year term.

'Even novice boaties can live the dream,' said Pares. 'We offer full personalised training as well as 24/7 on-water assistance. Owners share running costs of the boat and we offer invitations to social functions and yachting events throughout the year.'

A share in the Hanse 400 is $48,500 plus $750 per month in ongoing costs. The Seawind 1250 share will cost $89,900 plus $880 per month.
