Sail-World, the largest sailing news network in the world is preparing its on-line boat notes for the 2010 Rolex Sydney to Hobart race. It will be again covering the Hobart race in detail, with a large team of yachting journalists and photographers.
Around 200,000 sailors will be following the Sydney Hobart race via Sail-World.com
Around a quarter of the 2010 Sydney to Hobart fleet have already updated their Sail-World Boat notes, if you are in
that group, as a skipper we we thank you. You might want to look at the notes again and polish them and check the crew names spelling etc.
Overall we ask skippers to check our boat notes and results we have on your boat and crew, now and a number of times more, as crew details change before Boxing Day.
This information will be used by print, online, radio and TV media as a reference source and by competitors, family and friends, both in hard copy and online.
One of the biggest problems for skippers is writing a list of crew names correctly. For many sailors their nicknames have almost become their real names.
Beyond the basic boat information, we need crew lists with first name last name and accurate number of Hobart Race in brackets, e.g. Bill Smith (13, Tom Jones (2).
Please make sure the boats racing results are accurate, make sure you've included the winter racing.
