Top photographer, Gilles Martin-Raget joined the BMW Oracle Racing crew, and presents this gallery of images of the dhow racing staged on the lay day of the Louis Vuitton Trophy Dubai - providing the top monohull racing crews with a very rare and privileged taste of centuries old sailing culture in boats built of Indian teak and capable of sailing at the speed of the wind.
About 70 of these former pearling boats race in Dubai.
