Sibex-China International Boat Show – One day to go

by Veronique Largeau on 4 Nov 2010 Tomorrow, Thursday the fourth of November, the fourth Sibex - China (Shenzhen) International Boat Show co-organised by Yubo, Europexpo and Grand Pavois Organisation will open.

About a hundred exhibitors will gather on the floor space. And the in-water exhibition will, surely, attract visitors. Real strong asset: about fifty boats will be displayed and it will be possible, for prospective clients, to set sails in the evening to test the boats.

Another advantage: the possibility for this emerging market as far as marine business is concerned to enjoy finding both International and Chinese brands at the same place. If many International brands will attend as Beneteau, Feretti, Sunseeker, Azimut, Jeanneau, Bavaria, Meridian and many more, note the presence of several Chinese brands as HeySea, Applause, Sea Stella, Farnova Yachts, Hunan Sunbird Yachts, Panyachts Group…

And, if the Manhattan 70 Sunseeker will be one of the gems displayed, the biggest yacht is Chinese: the Heysea75. On the side of sailboats, note the attendance of the Cigale 18 from the French yard Alubat, Leopard 38 catamarans, Lagoon 500 and Sunreef 62. French yard Fountaine-Pajot will also attend but on a floor space.

Ashore, note the presence of many equipment’s manufacturers or dealers representing many fields of activity (electronics, riggings, services…). Plus, after Ferrari and Porsche, it is Bentley that is this edition’s cars partner.

Targeted invitations and highlights for all!
Discover a new market, find a quality-dealer, make sales, and show their know-how: each exhibitor has an objective. Thus, a specific communication plan has been set up to meet their needs.

For professionals: networking sessions will gather, Thursday evening, professionals to converse about this new market specificities and on Friday evening will be the 'Night of navigation and Golden Sails award ceremony' that will celebrate and award the International marine business.

For visitors: a media campaign was implemented with ads in magazines such as Global Luxury Properties, China Real Estate Business, Hurun Report, Yacht Style, Boat International China, Prodiver, Yacht, Shenzhen Business, Wen Wei Po, Yangtse Evening Post, Today Morning Express… A large media plan and online plan will be relayed on www.luxee.com, www.lux007.com , www.neeu.com and www.cnboat.com

A mailing campaign was also set up with invitations sent to private clubs (golf…), banks, prospective clients, and thousands of visitors that came to the previous editions. As for the anecdote: SMS were sent to 900 000 contacts for that year’s campaign.

On the side of media: a hundred journalists are expected for the inauguration tomorrow morning. A press office is ready to welcome the media and provide them with the tools and information they might need to follow the event. As such, a 'Live Broadcasting Room 'was settled for live interviews to be broadcasted on Shenzhen TV and radios.
