Following the success of previous years, Sandringham Yacht Club has announced that their C Fleet program will be once again be free of charge for the 2010/11 sailing season.
C-Fleet helps bridge the gap for Tacker graduates to become regular club racers and is an important step for developing confident sailors. It's a great way to meet new friends, practice sailing techniques and to develop an understanding of basic racing rules.
The C-Fleet program builds skills and knowledge over 15 Sunday morning sessions from October to May. The safe harbour at Sandringham provides young sailors the opportunity to benefit from training that is tailored to meet individual learning needs and encourages a life long love of the sport.
Participants will need to join the Club as a Junior member. If a Tackers course has been completed with the Club Marine SYC Boating Academy - the Junior membership is free! There is no need to have a boat to participate, as the Sandringham Yacht Club has a fleet of Optimists available for participants to use.
Sandringham Yacht Club invites all children that have completed any Tackers course to visit Sandringham Yacht Club's website for full details and application form.
