Robbie Burns & Vicki Simpson - RS200 Scottish Championships Fotoboat.com http://www.fotoboat.com
RS200 UK National Championships and Scottish Championship 2010 hosts are the East Lothian Yacht Club.

Big gusts reaching over 30 knots made the first day of the Scottish Champs very exciting for the 33 boats who flew to the start area.

Usually the Saturday before the UK Nationals is reserved as a practice day but this year the practice day included two races as part of the Scottish Champs.

Race one was sailed in 25 knots with a max gust of 33 recorded ! James Stewart and Toby - tastic showed they are still the heavy weather experts to win from Chris Martin and Katherine Lovering at the last gybe with the Scottish Masters Robbie Burns and Vicki Simpson in third.

The wind moderated for race two dropping to 8 knots at times with gusts still up to 20 knots.

Burns and Simpson lead from start to finish whilst Stewart and Lewis pulled through to take second from Tom Morris and Emma Porteous.
