Their winning performance against Olympic and World champion sailors was an encouraging sign that the duo has not lost their competitive spirit after a 6 month break from catamaran sailing following their 2009 ISAF Youth World Title victory. The two European events are being used as vital preparations for the upcoming Youth and Open World Hobie 16 Championships in Weihai, Shandon, China during August.
