European Laser Standard Youth Championship & Trophy - Day 1 and 2 reports.

Day 2

The wind in the morning was simply to little, so the Race Comitee had to wait a bit.

One hour delay welcomed sailors on the second day of competition in the European Laser Standard Youth Championship & Trophy, which are the part of the Gdynia Sailing Days. Today we had two races. Thus, in general classification of 124 entries from 26 countries we have one discard already.

After today the leadership goes to Great Britain with Eifion Mon as the one who took it. Second skipper - Philip Jurišic - is also a leader in Under-19 classification. The best Polish sailor is Kobierski Philip ranked on 10th position. Right behind him is Aleksander Arian.

On Wednesday we have two races planned. Sailors continue to compete in two groups, yellow and blue. Starting signal is scheduled at 11.00. And dont worry. You are gonna get on top again.

Win a few, lose a few ;)

Day 1

A fleet of 124 sailors from 26 countries started in the 2010 European Laser Standard Youth Championship & Trophy in Gdynia POL. A lively breeze in the mid-teens and some moderate chop provided ideal conditions for the first tow races and the full-sized young Laser sailors who are currently classified in category under the age of 21, but after the competition medals will also be distributed to the best U-19.
