Bayview Mackinac Race update.

A total of 206 sailboats in 20 classes started the 2010 Pure Michigan Bayview Mackinac Saturday in Lake Huron.


According to the race website, at time of publication, 136 boats had completed the race.

In the GL70 Class all boats have now finished, with John Nedeau's (USA 52701) Windancer showing as provisional handicap winner.

Natalie J, Philip D. O'Niel III, D.D.S. (USA 5252), is listed as IRC A provisional handicap winner. All boats have completed the course.

In IRC B nine boats have finished with Kenneth Flaska's (USA 52875) PeaceMaker provisional handicap winner.

IRC C nine boats have finished, with two yet to cross the line. David Askew's (USA 52902) Flying Jenny VI is currently the handicap leader.

IRC D and four boats have finished, seven are still racing. Larry Soutar's (USA 31377) Blitz leads on handicap.

In IRC E, IRC F and J/105 classes all boats are still racing.

Racing has finished for the J/120 class with Capers (USA 5455) Don Hudak, listed as provisional handicap winner.

In the J35 / T35 Class Falcon (USA 43828) Bayer/Bayer/Barnes is listed as provisional handicap leader, only two boast have finished, with nine still racing.

Multihull Class A has finished racing withBruce Geffens (USA 333) Nice Pair listed as the handicap leader. However a Protest is pending.

In the CC35 Class, all eleven competitors have finished racing, with Contender (USA 15560) Gary Graham, listed as provisional handicap winner. A protest is pending so results may change.

Racing has concluded for PHRF A entrants, Eliminator (USA 15370) Paul van Tol named provisional handicap winner.

PHRF B listed handicap winner is listed as Shape (USA 23756) Win Cooper III/Chris Benedict. Racing has concluded for this class.

PHRF C listed handicap winner is Wavelength (USA 25129) Chris Delling, and racing has finished.

All boats in Cruising Class A have completed the course. Comfortably Numb (USA 25434) Mark Miller is the listed handicap winner.

Freedom (USA 659) James Cooper is the Cruising Class B handicap winner, all boats have completed sailing.

Cruising Class C racing is complete, with Momentum (USA 15342) Rick & Renee Romer named as provisional handicap winner.

Cruising Class D and the handicap leader is currently Unplugged (USA 6309) Tim Clayson, two boats are still racing. A Protest is pending.

Cruising NA40 Class handicap winner is Fast Tango (USA 15004) Tim Prophit, Peter Wenzler. Racing has completed for this class.

Doublehanded (PHRF) Class provisional winner is Days End (USA 25589) Charles Blaty.

All places are provisional, protests are pending in some classes.
