Beneteau First 30 - The evolution of the species

by Media Services on 14 Jul 2010
First 30 Beneteau http://www.beneteau.com/
A little over 30 years have gone by since the launch of the First 30, which more or less imposed the ocean racer concept. It still has many aficionados today, continues to get some fine results in regattas and has a good quoted value in the second hand market. However, let us put the minds of lovers of this boat and its history at ease.

The new First 30 has received talent as part of its inheritance. In its own way, it tells the same story, the story of ‘great' sailors keen to continue writing the legend by bringing it up to date. The evolution of the species is in progress!

The First 30 has a new dynamic team so that the new First 30 may have all the characteristics of the finest racing boats while promising a good life on board.

Reliability, safety and comfort are all there, and this boat is innovating in more than one respect.

Juan Kouyoumdjian and Michel Desjoyeaux – Foncia monohull skipper – are the new breed of naval architect and world wide class sailors.

Race after race they make their own mark on our age. Now both join their skills with Beneteau in the creation of the all new First 30 headed by these two champions.
