Adrian Seiffert, the ‘auction king' of the boating industry and driving force behind Brisbane headquartered Marine Auctions, is set to again tempt buyers with a broad range of vessels in the next few weeks.
The opening round of the auction extravaganza begins at the company's Brisbane HQ at Rivergate on Saturday, June 26, with proceedings underway at 10am.
On July 3, also beginning at 10am, the auction action takes place in Victoria at The Anchorage Marina, Williamstown and then on to Portland on July 6 beginning at 11am.
In typical fashion, Adrian has some interesting vessels on hand.
The Rivergate auction includes a beautifully refurbished 50' Halvorsen motor yacht, powered by dual Gardner diesels and ready to cruise.
There's also a long line fishing boat, a substantial 85-footer powered by a 400hp Yanmar diesel which, according to Adrian, could be converted into a superb live-aboard.
Three near-new Mustang sport boats are likely to attract interest, all in pristine condition.
The Victorian auctions also see some interesting craft up for sale, including a floating restaurant complete with bar and kitchen and licensed for 140 people.
'An ideal business opportunity for someone, 'Adrian declared.
The auction scheduled for Williamstown on July 3 includes a number of late model craft, among them a superb Maritimo 48 with low-hour dual Cummins diesels and a well-kept Riviera 3350 flying bridge.
According to Adrian Seiffert, it is very much a 'buyer's market.'
'I think the economy has stumbled somewhat,' he said, 'there are a lot of people looking to sell their boat and it would not surprise me to find prices achieved lower than expected,' he added.
Many of the vessels going to auction carry no reserve.
For the current big boat owner, there's another interesting 'piece' going to auction in the form of a 16.0-metre berth at the Horizon Shore Marina.
It has become surplus to the owner's needs and is up for serious sale.
