Auckland - Denerau, Fiji Race- O Canada is close to finish at Denerau

O Canada is very close to the finish of the Auckland Denerau, Fiji Yacht Race, being pushed along at 9kts by the breeze which kicked in around 18 hours ago. She is making speeds of 9kts and is expected to finish this morning.

The report from Royal Akarana YC at 06.40pm last night advised that 'the finish boat will be heading out approximately 1.00am Friday morning to be on station for the finish of the Open 60 O Canada, estimated to be finishing sometime around 10.30am Friday. Most boats are shown on our ETA's as Saturday and Sunday, however these may be brought forward if the winds pick up.'
