Family Boats ‘demo day' to introduce new models

by Bob Wonders on 27 May 2010
Haines Traveler - goin; fishin’ - Family Boats SW
Sydney's Family Boats, a major distributor for the Haines Marine Group, will host a demonstrator day for boating families on Sunday, May 30.

Prospective boat buyers will be among the first to see new models from the Haines Queensland plant, the TS 185 and the TB 172, the latest release in the popular bowrider design.

Other models available for a ‘demo' comprise the TC 200 and the TF 145.

Family Boats, based at Blacktown, in Sydney's western suburbs, has been under the ownership of Greg Larkings for the past three-years. The dealership has an experienced staff of seven to attend to customer needs.

In addition to the Haines Traveller range, Family Boats is also an authorised distributor for Suzuki and Tohatsu outboards and Seafarer, Walker Bay, Sea Jay and Mako Craft boats and for the proven range of Dunbier trailers.

The four boats available for demonstration runs will all be powered by Suzuki four-stroke outboards.

'They're a first class range of engines, durable, fuel efficient and trouble-free,' Greg declared.

The Family Boats ‘demo day' will start at 10am and depending on the attendance run through to 3pm.

Venue is the Ermington boat ramp, off Victoria Road.

'We're not sure how many people are likely to turn up, but I and four of my staff will be there together with a representative from Suzuki,' Greg said.

'We ask those interested in attending to register with our office so we can have some idea of the likely roll-up.

'I do expect plenty of interest, particularly due to the fact that we'll be unveiling new models for the first time,' he added.

To register, simply call Family Boats, Blacktown, telephone (02) 9622-0222.
