Winner "Emocean" under spinnaker - 2010 Victorian Castle 650 Titles Andrew Dubbin
The Melbourne Trailable Yacht Club conducted the titles over the 14th March and 18th April. Racing was off St Kilda in the Northern end of Port Philip Bay.
Races one and two on the 14th March were on smooth water with winds North, North-Westerly from 13 knots to a variable 5-10 knots. Races three and four were run in similar conditions.
Simon Dubbin (BRYC/SYC) sailing 'Emoceam' was the clear winner with one-two-one-one. Second to fourth were separated by only one point with second decided on a countback. Second was Alistair Owens (MTYC) sailing 'Court Jester', with third Mark McLennan (MTYC) 'No Excuses'.
The sailing was close throughout the regatta with seconds separating the fleet. This was the first States since 2005 due to low numbers, but with the interest in the Castle 650 ever increasing it is sure to be a prelude to an even better 2011 title.
