Steward training onboard Bali Hai, Gold Coast

by Superyacht Onboard Hospitality Training on 20 Apr 2010
MY Bali Hai II will be your training centre for the May course. MIAA
Donna Morris, Principal Trainer at Superyacht Onboard Hospitality Training announces the unique opportunity for Stewards and Stewardess to train ONBOARD a motor yacht.

Superyacht Onboard Hospitality Training offers intensive professional training for those wishing to work on Superyachts as Stewards and Stewardesses. The May course (from 24 - 28 May) will take place onboard the M/Y Bali Hai II at the Marina Mirage at Main Beach on the Gold Coast of Queensland. There will be two instructors and a maximum of 10 students.

The syllabus remains the same as any of the S.O.H.T. steward/ess training courses: students will learn everything they need to know to prepare them to work effectively as interior crew to the standards required in the industry.

It will be huge advantage for students to have attended the course in the very environment that they will be working.
We also pride ourselves on personal service and mentoring of our students throughout their careers.

Donna Morris is an internationally experienced Superyacht Purser/Chief Stewardess, is also an accredited Vocational Trainer in Australia, holding the Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.

Donna has worked for the past three years as a yacht crew Training Instructor teaching Stewardess courses. She has formed Superyacht Onboard Hospitality Training in response to the need for courses specifically aimed at a more intermediate to advanced student.

Previous to her international career in professional yachting, Donna worked extensively in hospitality: as a Cruise Director onboard commercial cruise boats in Sydney, as a Hotel Manager, as a cook/waitress/cocktail-bar attendant, as well as an Executive Assistant and as a Nursing Sister.

Donna and her husband Captain Richard Morris are the Editors and Researchers of the Great Southern Route (now in its second edition) which is a companion cruising guide for Superyacht Captains who want to visit the southern hemisphere.

Details about the motor yacht can be found on the following link: www.balihaicharters.com.au
