US boat manufacturer has appointed Sydney dealership Andrew Short Marine as the sole dealer for the marque in Australia's largest city.

The move followed the decision by Sports Marine, at the time a second Sea Ray dealer, to move on.

Andrew Short Marine took over the former Sports Marine showroom on the d'Albora Marina facility at The Spit, Mosman.

It now attend to the needs of Sea Ray owners and prospective buyers at four prime locations across Sydney; on the south side, Andrew Short Marine headquarters and showroom at Taren Point, the Yowie Bay Marina just a few kilometres south and the two northern Sydney sites at the d'Albora complex and at Ferguson's Boat Shed almost opposite.

Andrew Short Marine CEO Kylie Short says the four prime sites makes the company 'by far' the largest marine industry sales and service centre in NSW.

'And I believe we are the perfect ambassador to continue to drive the prestigious Sea Ray marque into the Australian market,' she added.

Andrew Short Marine has been an authorised Sea Ray dealership for 10-years. The company stocks the full range of Sea Ray models, from 17' bowriders to luxury 60; motor cruisers. It has four times been named Sea Ray's International Dealer of the Year.

'Sea Ray today is the world's largest manufacturer of high-quality pleasure boat and being the only Sea Ray dealer in Sydney is a major plus for the company,' Kylie added. 'We believe it represents a great benefit for current and prospective Sea Ray owners and here at Andrew Short Marine we are all excited at the opportunity this gives us.

'First and foremost, our intentions are simply to continue to build on Sea Ray's outstanding reputation on the Australian market,' she added.

Of course, Sea Ray is only one part of the extensive Andrew Short Marine inventory. The company is also an authorised dealer for Mercury, MerCruiser, Boston Whaler, Signature, Brooker, Sea Al, Stacer, Seaway poly boats, XF1 ski and wakeboard boats and Quicksilver, Zodiac and Briggs inflatables.

'The range we carry means the business covers all areas of pleasure boating and much of the commercial boating market as well,' Kylie short explained.

'We believe Andrew Short Marine has truly reached the pinnacle to being a one-stop shop for all marine requirements, from new boat sales to complete marine servicing.'
