Barz Optics reports it most successful Auckland International Boat show and Brisbane Tinnie & Tackle Show in Brisbane ever, with sales exceeding forecasts and very positive response to new models.
According to Kevin Barr, owner of the optical company, sales exceeded the previous year's and were led by the new ladies' style, the bifocal reader range.
Barz polycarbonate polarised 'readers' are produced in Japan, the blank lenses are then cut, edged and fitted into specialised frames at Barz Optical Lab at Burleigh Heads on Queensland's Gold Coast.
The optically correct lenses are a sandwich construction with a pre moulded front lens, polarised filter and a pre moulded rear lens containing the 'reader'. Hardened anti scratch coatings are then applied to the rear and front surfaces.
Lens options are grey or amber in +1.50, +2.00 and +2.50 powers.
Barz has increased its polarised sunglass range to include six models with polarised polycarbonate lenses moulded with specialised polarised magnified 'reader lenses' in the base of the rear of the lens.
The range is proving popular with overseas markets as well. Over the past six weeks the company has signed new distribution deals in France and Switzerland and is currently in negotiations with distributors in NZ and Singapore and Paraguay.
If you wear glasses to work with digital screens, read your mobile, charts, or magazines, or to tie tackle, Barz Optics have an option that will suit your needs. To avoid having to swap from sunglasses to readers or in some cases wearing one pair over another, Barz has the solution.
