If you’ve ever fancied learning how to drive a RIB, then the RYA’s free RIB handling taster sessions at this years’ RIBEX show held at Cowes Yacht Haven, 7 – 9 May will be just what you need.
Hosted by Mendez Marine and sponsored by Ribcraft, the RYA will have two Ribcraft RIBs available throughout the show, giving visitors the opportunity to get out on the water in a mini RIB handling training session. Visitors will also have the opportunity to find out all about the courses available from the RYA and the very latest publications about RIB handling, maintenance and much more.
Andrew Norton, RYA motor cruising projects manager said: 'This is a great event for anyone interested in RIB’s. Training is vital for anyone getting out on the water not only from a safety point of view but also so they can fully enjoy the fun, so these free sessions will give visitors a real flavour of what is involved.'
Each session will last approx 30 minutes, are completely free and under expert RYA instructor tuition. Lifejackets are provided and children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
It’s easy to sign up; just register at the RYA events trailer in the Exhibition show arena. Bookings are on a first come first served basis throughout the show.
