For those who are going to Central America and Ecuador there is a fabulous guide called the Sarana Guide by Eric Baicy and Sherrill Watson.
Part I Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.
Part II Costa Rica with bits of Panama.
Both are very well done with lots of places to anchor, way points, info on
the Tehuantepec and Papagayos. We highly recommend them. We used them coming back up from Ecuador via,
Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, etc. Great info!
They are E books on the web very inexpensive. You get lots of info for the small cost. We recommend you print them out, so that you can peruse them before going on to your next anchorage.
