UIM F2 Continental Cup win to Yousef Al Rubayan

Yousef Al Rubayan of Kuwait and driver of Port Ghaleb team snatched the UIM F2 Continental Cup on December 15 at the Fujairah International Marine Club. The race that was held under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and was attended by His Highness Sheikh Abdulla bin Saif Bin Hamad Al Sharqi.

Yousef Al Rubyaan, from Port Ghaleb team came in first place with a time speed of 00:42:36:65, the second place went to the British Driver Owen Jelf, from Jelf Racing Team with a time speed of 00: 42:39:58 and the Italian Alex Carella, Bahrain GP Champion settled for the third place with the speed of 00:42:42:58.

The champion Yousef Al Rubyaan after the race said: 'I am happy to win this race and I am happier that I can repay my Arab supporters and fans in Kuwait and the Arab world for their continuous support. '

Abdul Salam Fairooz, Managing Director of Formula World Sports and organizer and promoter of the UIM F2 World & Continental Powerboat Championship 2009 said: 'I would like to congratulate all those who won today in the UIM F2 Continental Championship. It was an excellent and competitive race and the results is a living proof on the development of the techniques of the drivers due to the experience they gained in Bahrain and Egypt races. I would also like to wish them best of luck in the last round and I am hoping to see another successful and competitive race as well.'
