With stronger winds of 18Knts at start time decreasing to around 10Knts as the race progresses. The images displayed are using PredictWind's High Resolution GRIB files displayed using Expedition Software.

Forecast is given for expected fleet location as race progresses.

0400hrs – ESE 10Knts
1300hrs – E or NE 10 Knts (depending on location)

As the Anticyclone (high pressure area) over Tasmania moves off towards the East we should see the wind direction shift to the Nth.
