The success of the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta, Asia’s best loved regatta, owes a lot to the outstanding hospitality served up by host sponsor Kata Group Resorts Thailand. The dedication of its owner and Chairman, Pamuke Achariyachai, the management and staff, is second to none. Each year sailors, organizers and guests converge on Kata Groups’ beautiful Kata Beach Resort & Spa and award-winning Phuket Orchid Resort properties, going home with great memories of Kata and Karon, Phuket and Thailand.

One of the top events in the yachting world, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta is now in its 23rd year welcomes 111 boats and 2,000 high spending participants to Phuket.

This year, the closing day of the regatta coincides with His Majesty the King’s birthday, 5th of December, and although very special celebratory plans have already been made by the Kata Group Resorts Thailand, the Chairman is keeping them very close to his chest. After 12 years of being the host sponsor for the King’s Cup Khun Pamuke and his team are dedicated to making the Regatta and the royal birthday celebrations a resounding success.

Competitors in this truly international yachting event come from all corners of the world – 33 nationalities are represented this year.
