Elizabeth A Kerr, President of Kerrwil Publications Limited, publishers of Boating Industry Canada, Canadian Yachting, Trailer Boating Canada and most recently, Sail-World Canada announced Guy Perrin as its Managing Editor for Sail-World Canada.

Canadian Yachting has been quietly working with Guy behind the scenes to create a Canadian content racing e-newsletter when the opportunity to work with the largest international online sailing news network, Sail-World.com appeared on the horizon. It was a natural fit.

On accepting the role, Guy stated, 'this is a great opportunity to finally contribute, in a small way, to the international recognition that Canadian sailing and, more specifically, Canadian sailors deserve.'

Quebec born Guy Perrin, an IT manager in the Canandia public service but his mind is usually pre-occupied with sailing boats and racing stories. A regular keelboat club racer at Port Credit Yacht Club in Mississauga for many years; Guy is also involved with various Club committees and on-water activities.

He has been a regular contributor to the Lake Ontario 300 organization and, in a moment of distraction, accepted the nomination as event Chair for 2009 and will be holding that role for 2010.

When not surfing waves on Lake Ontario, Guy is usually found surfing sailing sites on the web, reading sailing magazines or introducing Carolyne, his 8-year-old daughter, to Wild Thing, the Evelyn 32 family ride.
