Armstrong 728x90 - Wing FG Board Range - TOP

Good things come in small packages

by Bob Wonders on 28 Oct 2009
Stacer, the popular aluminium range produced by its parent company Telwater, is out to prove that size is relatively unimportant when it comes to choosing a boat from the company’s Open boat range.

There are 10 different Open models on offer, beginning with the neat 319 Seasprite through to the 529 Seahorse.

Every model in the range features a broad beam and high hull sides, perfect for quiet water fishing expeditions.

In addition, Stacer has also produced the Proline range, featuring models of 319, 349, 359, 379, 399 and 429, a range eminently suited to navigating their way through shallow estuaries and dams.

Damien Duncan, Stacer’s national sales and marketing manager, believes the smaller array of Stacer models are an outstanding option, particularly for the beginner or inexperienced boater.

'They really are the perfect starter boat for many and especially for parents keen to introduce their children to the joys of boating,' he said.

'Our Open boats all feature the renowned high-performance EVO hull, while the Proline range unveils a new Stacer design with a vee shape that delivers an extremely soft ride.

'Although both Open and Proline ranges are labelled as Stacer’s smaller offerings, they surprise everyone with their stability and performance while still remaining lightweight and easily handled,' he added.

The Open boat models include welded front and rear bench seats, transom handles, anchor shelf and fuel tank rack, high hull sides and deeper freeboard.

However, the Proline range has been designed more as a low profile car topper style dinghy, capable of carrying up to three adults.

They feature front and rear bench seats and the new Stacer Proline Sports Hull for superb stability and ease of handling.

Models from both ranges can be specified as ‘Ready 2 Go’ packages, which include boat, trailer and a relevant Mariner outboard engine; simply add water and start enjoying the boating lifestyle.

Check out the price list on these smaller Stacer models and I think any prospective buyer will be pleasantly surprised.

Smallest of the Open boats, the 319 Seasprite, starts at only $4843, with the Proline range commencing at $5106.

The prices however do exclude dealer delivery charges, freight and boat and trailer registration.
