New location for Events Clothing in Auckland

Leading supplier of superyacht uniform, marine and corporate clothing, Events Clothing has a new home in Auckland, New Zealand.

Events Clothing has moved into new premises in the suburb of St Lukes, a short ten minute drive from the city’s marine hub at Viaduct Harbour, says director Owen Rutter.

'After many years in our Nelson Street location, it’s a new and exciting step for Events Clothing to have our own purpose-fitted building,' says Rutter, who oversaw the move in October. 'With a stylish new showroom, we can offer clients comfort and privacy as they select and try various clothing options. The entire building has been fitted out to our exact specifications for maximum efficiency for our warehouse, design and sales teams.'

With export sales a core component of Events Clothing’s global business, the new location provides close access to main arterial routes to and from Auckland Airport.

The building was constructed in the early 1950s and Rutter has worked with architects ICR Consultants to highlight the structure’s original quality materials.

'The walls have been sandblasted back to the original brickwork and the solid Oregon pine trusses restored to their original timber finish. The concrete floors were stripped of paint and recycled Matai timber flooring placed over the concrete in the office areas. The exposed metal and concrete columns, brickwork and timber floors have been combined with modern office fittings to create a stylish, highly workable environment for the growing Events Clothing team and our local and international clients.'

At the same time as the relocation, a new brand has been developed for Events Clothing’s own clothing range. 'This offers a fresh image for the wide range of marine and corporate clothing lines Events Clothing produces under its own name.'

The new address for Events Clothing is 16 Taylors Road, St Lukes, Auckland. The telephone, facsimile, email and website details all remain the same, but the postal address is now P O Box 41199, St Lukes, Auckland 1343, New Zealand.

'For our superyacht clients accustomed to finding us within a short distance of the Viaduct, it’s no problem for us to pick you up from your yacht or hotel, and drop you back. Simply phone us on 09 303 0013 and come over and see our great new facilities,' adds Rutter.
