To satisfy the boat owners who compete in the world’s most demanding fishing tournaments VEEM Propellers know the importance of manufacturing propellers to the highest levels of quality.

VEEM’s props provide unrivalled manoeuvrability, as well as maximum top speed, fuel efficiency and smoothness. As a result, the top sport fishing boats in the US prefer to use VEEM props and this can be backed up by recent performances in some of the largest sport fishing tournaments in the world.

The White Marlin Open, known as the ‘World’s largest billfish tournament’, saw Viking 68 take home the accolades of Top Boat for winning the ‘most points’ category with 10 white marlin releases. Carrying VEEM propellers, Viking 68 performed extremely well to win the ‘most points’ category that most people in the sport fishing industry consider just as important as the ‘heaviest fish’ category.

Carrying VEEM propellers, Sea Toy scored big at the 26th Annual Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament, taking home top prizes in the team awards, team jackpots and a daily award for a grand prize package of $274,429. Also with VEEM propellers, Caroline, captained by Watson Caviness, came 3rd in the team award with 17 releases for the week for a total prize of $56,514.

At the 2009 Mid-Atlantic $500,000 fishing tournament, Mark and Amy Granville-Smith of Manassas, Virginia aboard Phat Mann, winners of the ‘heaviest white marlin’ category in 2007 with their then-record 92-pound white marlin finished in a tie for second for the ‘heaviest white marlin’ category with a white marlin of 78 pounds. For their efforts Phat Mann received $106,415 in prize money.

Phat Mann is supported by high performance VEEM propellers. With VEEM props on the majority of the top 10 boats in the ‘heaviest white marlin’ category, there is good reason to why the top boat builders in the world recommend VEEM.

VEEM’s highly advanced manufacturing method allows each propeller to be tailored to suit the specific needs of each vessel. The ability to custom design each feature of the propeller design provides the vessel with a major advantage over competitors. All VEEM propellers are 5 axis CNC machined on 100% of the propeller, including the bore, key way, boss, blades, puller holes and edges. All VEEM propellers are then finished by a fully automated high lustre polishing process, ensuring the smoothest and shiniest finish possible. Every VEEM propeller is offered with the ability to customise any aspect of the propeller geometry, including the addition of the popular Interceptor™ technology.

The revolutionary patented Interceptor™ technology enables all vessels to be launched with the correct propeller every time, by attaining the right engine revs and load without the need to change or modify the propellers. The Interceptor allows changes to the pitch of the propeller without removal from the vessel by using different height Interceptor strips to adjust the effective pitch of the propeller.

Should the pitch of the propeller need to be changed, the old strip is simply pushed out and a new strip of a different height is pushed in. The VEEM Splash and Forget™ concept allows initial vessel commissioning to be completed in a single sea-trial, as any pitch alteration can be easily completed by changing the strips. This eliminates the need to either change to a new propeller or mechanically alter the new one, and a diver can simply change the strips in minutes.

VEEM Propellers is a privately owned company located in Western Australia and has been making propellers for over 50 years. Interceptor™ technology is being used on many different types of vessels including Super Yachts, Sport Fishers, Pleasure Boats and Patrol Boats. VEEM supplies propellers to some of the biggest names in the marine industry including Princess, Bertram, Sea Ray, Viking, Cabo, and Riviera.
