Luxury yacht builder Oyster Marine, renowned for its top-quality, blue-water cruising yachts, has appointed Asia Yacht Services (AYS) as its representative in Hong Kong and South China. AYS will be the exclusive agent for Oyster’s highly regarded 46ft to 82ft deck saloon range, and will also be an agent for its sleek new 100ft and 125ft superyachts.

The move is part of Oyster Marine’s plan to develop a sales and servicing network across the Asian region, working with Asia Yacht Services and its associate Asia Pacific Superyachts. Further appointments in strategic locations will follow.

Oyster Marine Group CEO, David Tydeman, said, “Oyster prides itself on helping owners fulfill their dreams of quality adventures afloat, whether that is local sailing or long-distance cruising. I am delighted that after several years as an ex-Oyster owner, [Asia Yacht Services' Managing Director] Bart Kimman is returning to the Oyster family. Bart’s first-hand knowledge of both Oyster yachts and our operation makes him an ideal colleague for our Asia-Pacific aspirations.”

Kimman said, “I am very pleased and honoured by the appointment. Oyster Marine has a magnificent range of quality-built sailing yachts capable of crossing oceans. These yachts are ideal for exploring our beautiful cruising areas as well as racing in the big events in Asia. The new 100ft and 125ft superyachts fit well into the growing demand for superyachts that has recently developed in Asia.”
