209 Toyota Optimist Chamopionships, Day 1 Event Media
Day One of the 2009 Toyota Optimist National Championships featured some great results by the team from Singapore. In race 2 they made a clean sweep coming in first second and third. They all say they like Wellington but it is just a little bit too cold.
Also having a great day on the water were the Australian sailors who are escaping from the heat.
After one false start flight one of Race 3 got underway at 13:40. The breeze remained light from the south east and the left being favoured. At the early stage of the beat sailors from Tahiti, Australia and Singapore featured at the front of the fleet.
