No more Tramps in San Fernando

by San Fernando Gweilo Mayor on 4 Apr 2009

Here’s a ‘sidebar’ for anyone going on the San Fernando Race next week – and looking for some entertainment when they get there.

‘San Fernando Gweilo Mayor’, reports that both Tramps Night Club and the Kola Lodge Motel closed last weekend. There are now only two night clubs to visit – Footlights and the Butterfly.

However, the Southern Palms is slated to re-open in a few days, but whether this means Stilettos opens as well is anyone’s guess. In any case, it's now run by a local group out of Manila, so will be targeting local people not tourists.
The Rose Bowl is now open. It seems to be an upmarket restaurant serving steaks as well as Chinese and local food. It seems pricy for most dishes, but a few appear just a little more expensive than the other good resorts. Everything has a 10% service charge but the beer is only PHP39.50 (+10%) which makes it good value.

For those who have still not booked accommodation, Bali Hai East and Ocean Breeze have rooms available. (Bali Hai East is opposite Cabana where all the après-sail action will take place – customs, immigration, party etc
