Tooheys New White Stag joins the Sail Port Stephens partner

by Event Media on 1 Apr 2009
There’ll be Tooheys New White Stag in every glass at Sail Port Stephens 2009 - Sail Port Stephens Kirk Maclean

Tooheys New White Stag is the official beer of Sail Port Stephens, with the full strength low carb offering joining the regatta's growing partner group this week.

The yachting fraternity is well known for its love of a quenching glass of cold something at the end of a hard day sailing, Toohey's New White Stag will be a popular choice when close to 60 boats converge on Port Stephens from April 20-26.

With only one third the carbs of full strength beers, Tooheys New White Stag is the first mainstream choice in Australia’s growing low-carb beer market.

Developed with mainstream drinkers in mind, Tooheys New White Stag delivers on the Tooheys New promise of flavour, refreshment and easy drinking.

Using Munich malt for full flavour, Tooheys New White Stag is brewed longer to breakdown the natural sugars leaving only one third of the carbohydrates of standard full-strength beers.

The low carb beer will feature at all official social gatherings at the regatta, and organisers are quietly confident that this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

'Just as the Tooheys New White Stag brand is growing, so is Sail Port Stephens, with an increase of over 100% on the 2008 fleet' said Event Manager, Jody O'Brien.

'We're looking forward to maximising the presence of Tooheys New White Stag at the Sail Port Stephens and continuing to grow the partnership to drive some significant benefits for both parties' she said.

Sail Port Stephens racing:

20-22 April - Commodores Cup (PHS)
23 April - Lay Day – Long Lazy Lunch with special guest speaker Tom Braidwood
24-26 April - Yachting NSW IRC Championship
- Port Stephens Trophy ( PHS)

From little things, big things grow, and Sail Port Stephens would not be possible without the support of the foundation partner group of Nelson Bay Diggers, Shoal Bay Resort and Spa, Peppers Anchorage and All Seasons Salamander Shores –as well as the resource contributions of the supporting partner group in SLAM, d’Albora Marina, Yachting NSW and Business Port Stephens, an initiative of Port Stephens Council.

Wild Oats Wines also joined as a supporting partner earlier this year, and their wonderful range of reds and whites, as well as a stunning rose, will be the wine in everyone’s glass at the regatta.
