Community Sailing Colorado hosts Carrie Howe free kids sailing clinic

Celebrating Opening Day of Cherry Creek Reservoir, Community Sailing of Colorado will host a free sailing clinic for kids.

US Olympic Team member Carrie Howe will be on hand with instruction and tips.

WHAT: Free sailing clinic for kids with Carrie Howe, US Olympic Sailing Team member. On-and off-water clinic with instruction and tips from Carrie. Tell your (viewers or listeners) to bring their kids to come sail with us for a day of sailing fun. Sailboats provided by Community Sailing of Colorado and Denver Sailing Association. Pictures will be taken of the kids with Carrie.

Healthy brunch will be provided by Juice Plus+ North America and Denver Sailing Association.

WHEN: Sunday, April 5, 2009, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

WHERE: Cherry Creek Reservoir Marina
Cherry Creek State Park, Greenwood Village, CO

COST: Free to kids ages 8-17

HOW: Register by April 1st to Amy at the Community Sailing office (303) 757-7718 or admin@communitysailng.org. Parental permission is required to participate in the event. Please wear soft shoes and dress appropriately for the weather and the water.

United States Olympic Sailing Team member competed in the 2008 Olympic Games in the Yngling class, winner of four World titles in match racing, Yngling class and team racing, ISCA All-American Sailor, Boston College graduate. About Community Sailing of Colorado
Community Sailing of Colorado hosts summer camps that teach youth ages eight to 17 how to sail in competitive and non-competitive programs.
