No More antifouling! SW

Reduces drag greater fuel economy and boat speed overall smoother sailing. Annually and in some cases, on a more frequent basis, thousands of boat owners undertake the arduous task of slipping their craft, cleaning and scrubbing down the hull, keel and hardware, chipping away at existing fouling, scraping off the old antifouling paint and then reapplying an antifouling coating.

The coating contains copper contains copper nitrates and as such, is highly toxic. The purpose of the coating is to create a smooth surface, one that bio-film and algae cannot adhere. But over time, the coating erodes, the surface becomes rough – bio-film and algae start to re-form – and the antifouling application cycle starts again!

Boat Sure ends the cycle by providing 24/7 protection against the build up of bio-film and algae and without these organisms, marine life such as barnacles, sea pocks, molluscs and mussels, have no surface to adhere to or food source and will fall away from the craft in search of a more pleasant environment.

If the boat is already fouled, Boat Sure goes to existing algae turns brown and dies, the bio-film breaks up resembling rice paper! Take the craft out for a sail and the water will complete the cleaning process for you. It couldn’t be simpler.

The Boat Sure uses the hull of the craft as an amplifier and emits inaudible, low frequency signals that vibrate the hull and shatter unicellular organisms – namely bio-film and algae thus creating a smooth surface without the need for antifouling paints.

The eco-friendly, cost-effective answer to anti-fouling is now commercially available in Australia. Introducing Boat Sure, a small digital device that emits low frequency ultrasonics and is fitted to the interior of the hull below the waterline, no skin fitting!

FAQ

Will this product remove and prevent algae?
Boat Sure removes and prevents algae and biofilm growth hence barnacles, sea pocks and molluscs cannot adhere.

What if I buy Boat Sure and it doesn't work? I'm sceptical!

It works! Boat Sure is fully performance guaranteed! The way the Boat Sure unit works is to use the hull of your boat as an amplifier of the ultrasonic frequency. Boat Sure emits a low frequency signal that shatters biofilm. Without biofilm there are no rough surfaces for algae to adhere to and without algae, molluscs, barnacles have no food source.

What about the props, keel, stern/sail drive? Does it remove the growth from them too?
Yes! Boat Sure removes and prevents growth from anything attached to the hull that is within it's range (which is a sphere around the unit).

Is Boat Sure suitable for my boat? How many units do I need?
The unit is suitable for all types of hull construction. The unit's coverage is between 33' and 38' depending on the resonance of your hull (eg steel resonates higher than dense materials such as jarrah). If you have a catamaran, then you would need two units (one for each hull).

Do I have to slip the boat or do antifouling before installing Boat Sure?
No. You do not have to slip the boat to install the product and self-installation can be done or via a qualified marine electrician (the unit uses 12v, 24v or 240v power supply). It's always better to start with a clean surface so if you wish to remove the antifouliing coating on your vessel and clean it prior to installation the Boat Sure will prevent any growth.

If your boat is already fouled, just install the Boat Sure and you will see results within 2-3 weeks. First the algae will turn brown and die (any other growth will fall away once the food source is gone). Then the biofilm will start to disintegrate and resembles sheets of rice paper. All that is then required to complete the cleaning process is to take the craft out for a run and let the water do the cleaning for you.

You mentioned power. What power does the unit use? I don't have access to shore power.
The Boat Sure unit uses up to 2amps or 0.4kw per day. This is the equivalent of running, say, a 24w fluorescent globe. If you do not have access to shore power (eg swing mooring) then you will need to also consider additional power backup such as a 40w solar panel. Basically, if the Boat Sure is not operating then this will allow biofilm and algae to start growing again. If you are in warmer waters, your algae growth will be accelerated so we recommend putting your power on a timer to run the unit for a few hours per day.

You also say it's eco-friendly. Is it hazardous to marine life? How is it going to affect my fishing!
No. The unit does not kill or harm any marine life. Barnacles, mussels and the like simply search for another food source and party on another boat that isn't protected by Boat Sure!. There is no impact to aquatic life such as fish and the ultrasonic emits at low frequencies so it won't scare your catch away!

What about Marinas? Do you have a solution there too?
Yes. The Water Sure unit uses the same technology and is designed
specifically for Marinas.
