Bangkok Airport - Situation Update

by Event Media on 26 Nov 2008
14:00, Wednesday 26th November.

Following protests by the 'People's Alliance for Democracy' (PAD), Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok is currently closed. No outbound flights are leaving and no inbound flights can land.

THAI Airways, Thai AirAsia and Bangkok Airways have announced suspension of all services at Suvarnabhumi Airport currently.

Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok, however, remains operational and Nok Air is reported to be operating all services as normal.

At this time, we advise all regatta participants to check direct with respective airlines as to suspensions, delays or re-scheduling.

THAI Aiways, tel: +66 (0) 2356 1111
Thai AirAsia, tel: +66 (0) 2515 9999
Bangkok Airways, tel: 1771 or +66 (0) 2265 8777
Nok Air, tel: 1318

The regatta office has now relocated from the Boat Lagoon marina to the regatta's HQ at Kata Beach Resort. The telephone number for the HQ office is +66 (0) 7633 0530-4 extensions 2663 and 2664. Numbers from the Boat Lagoon office are no longer manned. Contact Khun Kae and team on the above number, or email info@kingscup.com.
