Bavaria 50 Vision win at Rolex Middle Sea Race

We are pleased to announce that Bavaria 50 Vision with the race name Bavarioa Flyer MLT52 has successfully participated in the 2008 Rolex Middle Sea Race Double Handed Division and has won the following awards:
1st in the Double Handed Class - winning the John Illingworth Trophy on corrected time.
BICREF Trophy for the best records and dolphin sightings.
The race is a tough 607 mile non stop race around Sicily and out of 77 starters 17 boats retired with damaged equipment, masts or sick crew.
The Double handed Division was won by Bavaria Flyer MLT52 a Bavaria Vision 50 equipped with a Selden Electric Furling Mast and Elvstrom Sobstad Hi Tech Sails.
Bavaria Flyer beat Boxx (a Pogo Class 40 race boat )and Vento di Sardegna ( an Open 50 race boat) on corrected time.
