Gold for Ainslie - second for GBR

Following Gold medal win for GBR in the Yngling, Ben Ainslie also took Gold in the Finn.

Ben Ainslie added Britain's second Gold of the day with a great display of power sailing to win the Medal race, leading round every mark. Zach Railey of the USA sailed clear of Ainslie from the line to protect his Silver medal position and finished seventh, making sure of his medal. Frenchman Guillaume Florent sailed a great race to take the Bronze.

In the earlier races that were completed Britain took the expected Gold medal in the Yngling event - Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson out-sailing their Dutch rivals to win the Medal race.

After race six in the Laser, Paul Goodison took a seventh to lead the event by 12 points. Vasilij Zbogar (SLO) is in second and Julio Alsogaray (ARG) is third.

Penny Clark finished 17 in her Laser Radial race and is eighth overall. Gintare Volungeviciute (LTU) leads ahead of Anna Tunnicliffe (USA) and Jo Aleh (NZL).

In the Men's RS:X, Nick Dempsey is in fourth after two races so far today, he finished 7 and 17. Tom Ashley (NZL) leads, with Julien Bontemps (FRA) second.

In the Women's RS:X, Bryony Shaw had a 6 and a 5 in her two races and is sixth overall. Leading is Jian Yin of China, second Alessandra Sensini of Otaly and third Jessica Crisp of Australia.
