SuperCrew Recruitment launches today coinciding with the commencement of the 2008 Sydney International Boat Show. The SuperCrew team is proud to offer highly qualified Australian crew to owners & captains with a view to enhancing team work and superyacht operations world wide.

Thanks to SuperCrew’s extensive network of contacts, Australian crew now have a greater chance of landing a great crew position in the shortest time possible. SuperCrew also offers excellent advice during the recruitment process and ongoing mentoring.

SuperCrew’s association with The Superyacht Crew Academy, places SuperCrew in the unique position to personally assess each candidate over a full training course. This enables our team to identify their competencies, work ethic, character and personality over days or weeks rather than just a one-off interview.

Through SuperCrew’s association with The Superyacht Crew Academy, yacht crew undergo programs, for professional career training on superyachts. All courses offered by the Superyacht Crew Academy offer the most extensive training specifically for the superyacht industry. This association ensures SuperCrew has access to quality crew with IYT international commercial qualifications recognised by the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA) and 24 governments worldwide.

Based in Sydney, Australia, SuperCrew Recruitment personnel are focused on providing state-of-the-art interviewing techniques, comprehensive reference checks & video conferencing, to ensure that only the best people are presented for the job. Our interviewing & targeted selection techniques ensure that only professionals from deckhands to steward/ess to quality chefs, engineers and captains meet the final selection criteria.

Different packages are available whether Captains are looking to replace one crew member or they require SuperCrew to place a full crew. Senior engineering and deck officers may be interviewed anywhere in the world, in real time using our state of the art video conferencing facilities. And comprehensive reference checks, including police checks should they be required, will be undertaken on all candidates.

SuperCrew’s executive Team consists of a talented mix of individuals with extensive industry knowledge and experience in both sailing and recruitment.
Michelle Mills is Director of SuperCrew. Michelle will be based at SuperCrew overseeing its day-to-day operations. Michelle has extensive experience in the recruitment process and on going management and development of teams within different working environments. With 20 years business experience in the service industry, Michelle has been involved in the incorporation and maturity of many businesses in both Australia and Asia.

Christopher Brown is Principal & Director of The Superyacht Crew Academy (SCA), Director of SuperCrew & Director of Club Sail). Christopher will be directly informing SuperCrew of his experiences with students during their days/weeks with SCA. Christopher has more than thirty years ocean, offshore and coastal sailing experience. He has operated in the Asia Pacific region and Europe, including the Mediterranean, England and France. Among a host of other marine qualifications, Chris also holds internationally recognised International Yacht Training (IYT) certificates and instructor qualifications for STCW95, and Master of Yachts 200 tons (offshore and ocean).

Deborah Brown is Director of the Superyacht Crew Academy (SCA), SuperCrew and Club Sail. Deborah will be managing the link between the two superyacht organisations. Deborah has over thirty years experience collectively in the travel and sailing industry, and she has played a major part in the development of Club Sail and the Superyacht Crew Academy in Sydney. She has extensive industry management experience including retail sales, major marketing promotional work and customer travel administration.

Donna Morris is the Crew Placement Coordinator to SuperCrew and the Steward/ess Instructor for The Superyacht Crew Academy. Donna will work closely with the Captains & owners to find the ideal crew members to look after their multi-million dollar vessels. Donna spent six years extensively cruising the world as a Chief Stewardess on board private and chartered Superyachts. Donna became an integral part of the behind-the-scene operations and an important resource to the Captains. Her duties included the employment and training of new crew.

David Mills is the founder of SuperCrew. David spent the last nine years specialising in recruitment and management consulting, including candidate selection processes and leadership training to ensure clients recruit and retain the 'best people for the job'. Along with 20 years international business experience and a host of academic qualifications, David obtained internationally recognised qualifications with IYT and Yachting Australia.
