Deckhardware pieces in situ! Jeni Bone
A batch of special show discounts will mark DeckHardware’s appearance at SIBS this year, according to Melissa Yeomans, marketing manager at the company.

On sale will be the range of Blue Performance canvas products (including cockpit bags and drink holders); Liros rope, cut lengths as well as small rolls, and Velocitek real time GPS speedo/compass.

In addition, DeckHardware has a massive array of products on display, including: Forespar hardware and plumbing, Boom Vang (Yacht Rod), Whisker poles and Marelon Plumbing, Gebo ports and hatches, Manship Stainless Steel ports and hatches, Peter G’s cleaning products, Schaefer Marine Hardware.

The DeckHardware stand will have its CD with all product catalogues, technical sheets and video examples for their wide range of products.

The team from DeckHardware will be on hand to provide advice and demonstrations of the products available, among them the much-talked about Velocitek GPS/Speedo devices and their new race replay capability.

Velocitek Simplifies Race Replays
After more than a year of planning and development, Velocitek have released Version 3.0 of the Velocitek Control Center – a fantastic leap forward in race replay capability. Users will now be able to download, manage and play back information from multiple devices at once, allowing them to easily recreate races and training sessions involving multiple boats.

'While some great technical race analysis software has existed to date there has been no simple solution which allowed users to easily download, edit, combine and store race replays from a large group of boats – I am excited that we have been able to achieve this with the Velocitek Control Center 3.0,' says Alec Stewart, President and Founder Velocitek.

The built-in race editor and creator allows the combining of multiple Velocitek GPS tracks into one replay which can easily be edited and replayed in the Race Player or exported to other GPS track analysis programs such as Google Earth or GPS Action Replay.

This new feature makes it possible for a whole fleet to review their racing and training sessions – every tack, wind shift and change in boat speed! To see this in action, check out the demo video at: velocitek.com/video/VCC_3-0_Demo/VCC_3-0_Demo.htm

As an added bonus, Velocitek also offers users the opportunity to publish their race or training sessions online, so anyone can watch and comment on the action. All sailors need to do is submit their Velocitek replay track files via email and Velocitek does the rest, compiling and publishing the tracks online at their race replay forum.

DeckHardware has been operating in the marine industry for over 15 years, providing quality products to the larger boating community.

Make a point of visiting Phil, Melissa, and the DesckHardware team at Stand 211-212 in Exhibition Hall 2, around the corner from the Sailing Stage and Better Boating Workshops.

Pivot on this
I despise the way ‘pivot' got used as many times as those wretched QR codes... Yes indeed. As much as I would hate to take people back to the COVID era, that's exactly what I've just done. Making that problematic trip back in time look good, is how much I despise the way ‘pivot' got used as many times as those wretched QR codes.
