Oceantalk, a leading Asia Pacific marine electronics distributor, has opened a one stop marine electronics sales and service center in Singapore. Conveniently located in Sim Lim Square on Rochor Canal Road in central Singapore the new centre not only has full servicing capability but also a wide range of stock and brands.

For more than 20 years the Oceantalk Group of companies has been the forefront of providing marine technology solutions in Australia and Asia.

Expert product knowledge born of a long history of marketing marine electronics and unmatched service delivery has allowed Oceantalk to build an envied reputation in the marine industry.

Robin Kydd, managing director of the Oceantalk Group of companies, said 'We have felt for some time that there is needs to directly interface with our end user customers and at the same time widen the choice we offer.

‘Thus the new easy to get to shop on Level 2, Sim Lim Square, in addition to stocking the brands we are famous for (Tacktick, Comar, Maxpower and Raymarine) is also stocking Icom, Simrad, Northstar, Hummingbird and Lowrance and more.

'Customer convenience together with sharp pricing will be the keys to our success' says Kydd. 'We have factory trained service staff on hand to both solve technical problems and provide solutions.'

These features combined with GST Refund facilities will make the new sales and service center convenient both for local Singaporeans and in transit customers looking to buy the right gear at the right price whilst passing through Singapore.

'Because our traditional distribution business has also moved to the same new facility we also have the experience and capability to dispatch equipment and spares any where in the region,' said Kydd.

The new business, open seven days a week, is already seeing significant store traffic with customers from Australia, Russia, New Zealand, France, Germany, UK and the USA as well as locals already taking advantage of world class pricing and technically capable sales staff.

In a recent example of Customer satisfaction a customer from Australia who fronted with a dysfunctional Raytheon tiller pilot was able, the following day, to pick up his repaired unit and purchase the latest Raymarine ST1000 which he will get home for less than AUS $ 500

Prices are certainly sharp. The latest Oceantalk HGP 320 4.3' colour plotter GPS product is moving out at Sing $600 (AUS $470) and comes complete with built in detailed charts of Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore,

Its big brother the Oceantalk HGP 430 selling for Sing $ 820 (Aus $ 650 ) has all the same advanced functions including AIS and will also work with C Map charts making it a value product anywhere in the world.

A brand new e-commerce facility is currently in the website pipeline and that is sure to expand the market for this specialist marine supplier. Until its available Singapore stop-overs, for sailors should include a visit to Oceantalk in Sim Lim Square, an email or a phone call will yield pleasant surprises.
