Telwater investigated by ACCC

Telwater, manufacturer of Quintrex and Stacer branded boats, has been cooperating with the ACCC over alleged breaches of resale price maintenance laws.
The investigation has been underway for more than six months, according to Damien Duncan, National Sales & Marketing Manager at Telwater who says the company is more than willing to work with the ACCC to get the issues resolved.
'It’s in our best interests and those of our dealers,' he said. 'So far, no fines or penalties have been issued and we are in constant contact with our dealer network about where the investigation is headed.'
As Duncan explains: 'We have more than 120 dealers nationally and it’s our commitment to offer them our full support in the best way we can – training, marketing tools, streamlining our processes.
'It seems to be a case of advertising in our brochure that conflicts with retail prices. We were ignorant of the consequences and hope to resolve it soon.'
The company has engaged legal advisors for guidance in relation to breaches of fair trading laws.
