Fast Cat Race Round The IOW is back on

The Fast Cat Race Round the IOW is back on. The long distance race has been missing from the Catamaran calendar since 2005. The Fast Cat Race is for Fast Catamarans rating 1.06 or lower on the SCHR Rating System. No single handed boats are eligible. No sailor under 18 years on the 24 August 2008. If in doubt about eligibility please contact the organizer for clarification.

This long distance race has attracted cat sailor from all over the world , reserved places have started to flood in from all over the UK and a number of Dutch sailors have booked there place. Race day is on the 24 August 2008, Bank Holiday weekend, giving plenty of time to travel.

Calshot will be the location as in previous years. Racing anticlockwise round the Isle of Wight.

Over previous races the Tornado and F18's have been the boats to beat , the the F18 fleet have added the event to there calender so we expect to see the top UK sailors on the water. Tek Kat will be on the water setting the challenge for line honors.
