I don’t really believe it, but here we are, Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show #20 staring us in the face.
For the four days, May 22-25, the venue will be the centre of attention for the boating industry and for anyone interested in recreational boating, under power or sail.
This is not only the 20th show, it’s also my 20th, which I can only assume means I’m not getting any younger.
Not to worry, I’ll be there along with the team from Sail-World and MarineBusinessNews and we’ll jointly bring a full report on the show and all that’s happening there over the next week or so.
Meanwhile, there’s still plenty to read about.
Take a look at the alleged ‘drug boat’, a giant inflatable powered by, wait for it, 2000hp in the form of eight 250hp Yamaha outboards! As our Hong Kong editor suggested, light the fuse and stand back!
Also, the NZ Earthrace continues on its merry way, we have daily updates on that and we’re delighted to report on a strong defence of the Sydney Superboat Grand Prix written by respected boating writer David Toyer and published in Pacific Motor Yacht.
Another well-known journalist and television presenter, Steve Starling, shows what’s needed to be a successful angler with his new rig up and running.
This coming weekend the F1 Superboats will be at Toukley on the NSW Central Coast and we will be there for that. Meanwhile we bring you a report on Bob Trask's result at the GP of Portugal and another outstanding result from Sleepyhead in Auckland.
So, to all our subscribers (all 22,000 of you every week), keep hanging in there and keep up with all the news on Powerboat-World.com; if you spot us at Sanctuary Cove, come up and say g’day.
