Seawind Seminars at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show

Seawind Seminars back by popular demand - at Sanctuary Cove Boat Show Seawind Catamarans www.seawindcats.com
The Seawind range will again be on display at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in just a weeks time. Apart from the Seawind 1000XL and Seawind 1160 being on show, the Seawind Seminars are back by popular demand, with two new seminars this year. Being held every day, these FREE seminars include:

• 12noon - Heavy Weather Sailing on a Catamaran – Hosted by Seawind’s delivery skipper Royce Black.

o Royce has completed close to 200,000 miles delivering boats, most of which was done on Seawinds, traveling the entire coastline of Australia plus several journey’s across the Tasman Sea to New Zealand, and others from Australia to Singapore, Hong Kong to South Korea, plus coastal trips down the east coast of the USA. One of Royce’s more perilous deliveries involved crossing the path of Cyclone Sam (Category 5) on the West Australian Coast. Royce will providing advise on the dos and don’ts of sailing in heavy weather with particular reference to his experience onboard catamarans.

• 1pm - Charter Boat Ownership – Hosted by Seawind’s Managing Director Richard Ward and Finlease Managing Director, Mark O’Donaghue.

o With the popular Whitsunday charter companies in need of more charter boats, this seminar will focus on the considerations and benefits of placing a boat into charter and will touch on financial business models that have been developed to assist potential investors. A free information booklet will be provided with further financial information for consideration.

• 2pm - Cruising the South Pacific – Hosted by Seawind’s operations manager, Graeme Nolan.

o Graeme has successfully completed several South Pacific cruises onboard Seawind catamarans and several years ago completed a circumnavigation of the world onboard a 40ft catamaran. Graeme is a wealth of knowledge and will be sharing his experiences and advise on how to best navigate the trade winds of the South Pacific and exploring the island paradises to be found.

• 3pm - Cruising from a Woman’s Perspective – hosted by Seawind Owner, Ann Waring.

o Ann and husband Alec recently took delivery of their new Seawind 1160 in 2007 after 20 years since their last sailing boat, a Nolex 25 trailer sailor. Now having already cruised the east coast of Australia, successfully crossed the Tasman Sea, and currently cruising New Zealand, they soon plan to cruise around the world. This is the perfect seminar for women to attend who are considering taking up life onboard, with Ann discussing her adjustment to living on the Sea, overcoming sea sickness and other advise.
