The BT Extreme 40, one of nine entries in the 2008 iShares Cup, joined her BT Team Ellen stablemates at Plymouth last weekend for the start of Artemis Transat transatlantic race.

The 40ft catamaran lined up alongside a smaller F18 catamaran, which Ellen MacArthur will sail in the Archipelago Raid endurance race. However both were dwarfed by the massive BT Open 60, which Seb Josse is currently sailing singlehanded across the North Atlantic.

The BT Extreme 40 is skippered by Nick Moloney, who will understand what Seb is going through - he's circumnavigated the globe three times, including solo as part of the 2004-05 Vendee Globe Race.

The BT Extreme 40 (skipper Nick Moloney) joined the BT Formula 18 (skipper Ellen MacArthur) and BT Open 60 (skipper Seb Josse) in Plymouth before the start of the Artemis Transat.
