The Head Technical Manager of MaxSea France, Mr Ronan Gohlen, will be in Australia this week. MaxSea is a leading producer of ocean-navigation software, world-wide. Mr Gohlen will be visiting the Volvo Round-the-World yachts which are carrying Maxsea: three quarters of the boats have the French software as their primary navigation and tactical tool.
The yacht Grundig (formerly Xena) has been using a MaxSea system for the last eighteen months in preparation for her attempt of the 24-hour distance record.
Mr Gohlen will also be conducting a one-off demonstration of the software in Artarmon on Friday evening between 8:00pm and 10:00pm. The demonstration will include practical participation using laptop computers.
Those interested in attending this free information night (no sales, no obligation) should email marine@clickit.net.au or call 0416 117 918 or 0414 295 804 to reserve their place.
