Fun day at the Bavaria & X-Yachts Regatta

Bavaria and X-Yachts regatta 2008 in Pittwater. Christophe Launay
A fun day was had by all at the 2008 Bavaria & X-Yachts Pittwater Regatta last Sunday. Brilliant sunshine and light north westerly winds greeted the 30 plus fleet of Bavaria & X-Yacht's. With three racing divisions and one cruising division there was something for everyone.

Owners from across the state came to be part of the day including the Canberra Ocean Racing Club and their Bavaria 44 'Namadgi' which won its division in the recent Sydney to Hobart race. Robert Green and his beautiful X-562 'X-To-Sea' which he sailed out here from Europe with his wife competed in the performance division and successfully collected a number of prizes.

A fleet of 25 yachts competed in the racing divisions with another 10 yachts turning up for the cruising division. A large array of prizes was on offer at the evenings presentation ceremony including $500 cash from Finlease, Barlow’s gift vouchers and a ticket to the annual Whitsunday Bavaria Rally just to name a few.

North South Yachting would like to thank all their owners and guests for making Sunday such a great event and look forward to an even bigger and better regatta in 2009.
