College Sailing- Southern NE Team Race Regatta

Southern NE Team Race Regatta was sailed at Connecticut College and USCGA March 29, 2008.
SNETR: Conditions at Coast Guard were a brisk WNW breeze that ranged from 8-22 knots. 36 races were completed to finish a single round robin. All courses sailed were the college style N course. Two protests were heard resulting in no DSQ's. Many thanks to Mike Richards, Eric Storck, Ken Legler and David Tunnicliffe for hearing protests. Also, many thanks to the CGA Sailing team for running races in breezy cold conditions. Top 5 will report to Connecticut College for the finals on Sunday.
Conditions at Connecticut College were similar to USCGA but with a more shifts. 37 races in a single round robin format with 1 sail off race were sailed to determine Gold Fleet and Silver fleet seedlings for Sunday. Course was a college style N. Many protests were heard at the finish line with 3 minute justice. Thanks to Jamie Gillman, Clay Johnson, and Peter Johns for hearing the protests. A special thanks to the Connecticut College Camel sailing team for running the races.
