2008 BVI Spring Regatta SW
The British Virgin Islands theme ths year for the entertainment at the Regatta Village is 'The Caribbean Rocks'. With artists that represent some of the best music in the BVI, the Regatta Village at Nanny Cay will be rock'n with the sights and sounds of the Caribbean during the BVI Spring Regatta, April 3 – 6. In addition, courtesy of the BVI Tourist Board and Sunsail, after racing each day, sailors can catch the T2p.tv video highlights of the days' action.

On Thursday, April 3rd, after registration for the main event, BVI Spring Regatta, the awards ceremony for the Nanny Cay Cup and the Mount Gay Welcome Party, Carl Williams the 'Piano Man' will hit the stage. This multi talented keyboard player delights the senses with a mix of rock n' roll, rhythm and blues and Caribbean reggae.

Following racing on Friday, DJ Jamie Gardner will mix sailing favorites with rock n'roll, rhythm and blues and music from the 70's and 80's. Jamie will co-host 'Heineken Happy Hour', from 4:30 – 6:30 at the Regatta Village Bar. Later that night, Tortola's own Third Dimension will light up the stage. Led by Cave Stoutt, the group offers their unique blend of island music, rhythm and blues and reggae.

Saturday, April 5, late afternoon, DeArtiste, with leader Glenn LaMonthe, will entertain with Caribbean socca and rock n'roll. From 5:30 – 6:30, HiHo will host a tantalizing fashion show and that evening, Extreme Band will take center stage. This BVI phenomenon offers the big band sound with a Caribbean twist.

Sunday night is the official awards ceremony and this year recognition will be given to yachts, skippers and crews who have placed in CORT (Caribbean Ocean Racing Triangle), VI Raceweek and of course, BVI Spring Regatta. Closing, what is sure to be a great BVI Spring Regatta, Chef Alastair and Guitarded, from the BVI's Last Resort, take the stage. It's always fun as Guiarded mixes loads of musical talent with a keen wit and humor.

Along with the great live entertainment, the Regatta Village offers all plenty to eat and drink. Food vendors officially start serving daily at 4PM and the Regatta Village Bar is open from 2PM – 1AM.
